Paragliding on Mt. Hood, May 2002
Steve Forslund, John Wenning, and I took advantage of favorable conditions
on Mt. Hood on May 12 to do a paragliding descent from the top of the Palmer
snowfield. Our flight path was down the White River Canyon, landing at
the White River snowpark. Our good fortune was not yet over for at the
snowpark we met vacationers Shae and Raffaella who gave us a ride back up to
our vehicle at Timberline Lodge and joined in our après paragliding celebration.
