A Message from the Pastor

Blessed are you who come in the name of the Lord our God.

As we stand in the midst of the early years of the twenty-first century, our hearts are filled with joy. We are happy because we are godly people who possess a good, rich Christian heritage and legacy. We have come this far, through many dangers, toils, and snares, by faith. This great faith was taught and bequeathed to us by our ancestors. Yes, we are the children and the descendants of those Christian Methodist pioneers who hoped, dreamt, prayed, and worked toward the establishment of our Zion in Detroit, Michigan. For over eighty consecutive years, our congregation has worked faithfully in local, state, regional, national, and international arenas to help in advancing the Kingdom of God.

Today we praise God for what he has done, is doing and will do in us, individually and collectively. God who is faithful and just continues to showers us with blessing from above. Healing, financial blessing, restoration of relationships and peace of mind are only a few of the gifts that God continues to provide. The power of the Holy Ghost is evidenced in the lives of the membership as we continue to move mountains, overcome adversity, and gain victory after victory.

As we continue to strive to be the Lord's people (The Church) in the twenty-first century, let us do so with the wisdom of Solomon, the humility of David, the courage of Esther, the faith of our foreparents, and the powerful love of the Eternal One. May the Lord continue to bless and to sanctify us as we grow, improve, and mature in his Holy Spirit.

We invite you to come and experience the love of God; Come and feel the power of the Holy Spirit; Come and unite with this body of Christ as we lift up the name of Jesus. For He is Worthy to be Praised.
