Senior Citizens Club

The "senior citizens" of our community come together to care, to share, to understand and to love one another. They call themselves St. Jude Senior Citizens (SJSC). In September 1991, they elected officers, established by-laws, and decided on Luncheons for their monthly meetings. They dine the first Tuesday of every month at 1:00 PM at Chefs-On-The-Run at Highpoint, Chalfont. They have a great trip schedule which includes theater trips, local day trips, casino trips and longer 3 - 12 day vacations. Their Call Around Committee calls each member to make reservations for their monthly luncheons. The minimum age is 55. You are invited to one Luncheon to see if what we have to offer is what you are looking for. Dues are $6.00 per year

They came together because of age. They have gotten to know one another. They have gotten to love one another, which, as Jesus said, is the greatest commandment of all. They look forward to meeting you.

Social Sunday Committee

On the third Sunday of every other month, from September to May, parishioners share coffee, Danish, warmth, fellowship and conversation with the intention of building community. We gather after the 8 and 10 o'clock Masses in the Meeting Room of the Church.

Welcome Committee

Members of the Welcome Committee call upon and "welcome" new parishioners to our parish community. Any parishioner of high school age or older is invited to join the committee.

Committee members chat with the new parish members and try to answer any general questions they might have, i.e. Mass times, reconciliation times etc. They direct the parishioner to call the Rectory or a specific ministry if additional detail is required.

Each new family receives an introduction package containing all the phone numbers of the Rectory, school and P.R.E.P., and ministries, etc., and is advised of any upcoming parish events. The parish web site and our weekly bulletins are also noted as sources of additional information. New families are urged to review our list of organizations and ministries, and invited to join any of interest.
