Our Mission Statement:

We, the Catholic Community of St. Malachy, called by Baptism to be followers of Jesus Christ, claim as our mission to proclaim the gospel to use our gifts to serve all people with love and compassion, and give thanks and praise to God as a community through our worship.

Text Box: The Women of St. Malachy will meet on Monday, May 14th at 7pm in the Currier Center following the May Crowing at the Shrine. All women of the parish are welcome! Musical May is Back!!! On Saturday, May 19th, your music ministry presents “Dinner and a Show” with the St. Malachy Music Program. Come and have a delicious meal and then walk over and enjoy your concert. Ticket information will be available soon so mark those calendars!! Graduation Mass will be at the 5:30pm mass on June 2, 2012. We invite all graduating seniors of St. Malachy to join us for mass and dinner following mass. Please see “The Staff” for more information. SUMMERFEST??? ALREADY??? Yepper! Mark those calendars for August 17th, 18th & 19th!! Get ready to have some fun in the sun!! Mark your calendars: Keep the week of September 2nd through the 8th open—that is when we are hosting Mc Rest. More info to follow. VBC Registration is underway!!! VBC will be Monday through Thursday, June 25th—June 28th from 9:30am-12:00pm and Friday, June 29th from 9:30am-12:30pm Please see “The Staff” for registration information. The Junior High Youth Group FROGS WELCOME TO FROG / YOUTH GROUP night on Monday, April 16th was a HUGE success!!! We had 13 new froggers join us and it was a GREAT night! Fun was had by all!!! There is always room for more!! Remember that FROGS is now open to 5th graders as well as 6th—8th (it’s an “after Easter” tradition) Any questions, please contact Diann Chase via email: Have you been baptized Catholic, but never completed your Sacraments of Initiation (Eucharist & Confirmation)? If you are not Catholic but married to a Catholic Spouse, are you interested in knowing more to be able to share with them? We invite you to attend our first Inquiry Session on Monday, June 4th at 7pm. To learn more about RCIA, please call Larry Mohr at 586-354-0532 or the Church office at 586-264-1220. Along with our RCIA program is RCIA for Children and Teens, but most know it as RCIC. This program is open for children ages 7-17 who have never been baptized, or have been baptized but have not completed the sacraments of Holy Eucharist or Confirmation. If your child has expressed an interest in learning their faith or if you wish your child to further their faith, please contact Diann Chase at 586-360-3347 for more information (or use the above email link) We now offer Children’s Liturgy at the 11:30am mass as well as the 9:30am mass! The children, grades Kindergarten through 6th grade, after opening prayer will gather at the front of the church for a special blessing and then proceed to the Gathering Room for liturgy. The Music Ministry has many opportunities for you to join!! The Worship Choir’s rehearsals are every Wednesday, 7:30-9:00pm in the church. Cantor rehearsal is on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm in the church. Bell choir rehearsals are Sunday afternoons immediately following the 11:30am mass. The Genesis (children) choir is immediately after the 9:30am mass in the Currier Center. The Contemporary Choir meets on Tuesday nights from 7:30pm-9:39pm. The Choir of Everlasting Life is always up and running! Come and join us—with all these options, there is something for everyone!!
