| Young Adult Music Group - Alive & Now |
A group of dedicated and spirited musicians
and singers aged from teens through young adult
meets every Thursday evening at 7:00 pm in the
Lower Church of St. Matthew Parish. There we
(about 8-12 of us) rehearse the music for the weekend liturgy.
The group leads the parish in music at the 10:00 am Mass
every Sunday morning in the lower church during the
school year – September thru June. We also provide the
parish with music on Christmas Eve at 4:30 pm in
the lower church. Currently the group consists of flutes,
guitars, bass and vocals. Occasionally, we are joined by
violin, cello, harp, clarinet, saxophone, and trumpet. No
talent goes to waste in our group. All musicians are, however
experienced students of music. We believe that the best way to
honor God is to make use of the musical gifts He has endowed us
with especially by par-ticipating in the liturgy. Wish to join
us? Please leave your name and phone number for
Dorothy Smith at the parish rectory by calling
215-333-0585. |

or the asst, director and organist Rosemary Wolstenholme at

Cantors lead, promote, and encourage singing at
Mass on Sunday as well as other feast days. Any person willing
to share a good singing voice with the community can ask to be
a part of this group. |

| Lectors |
The Lectors proclaim the Word of God at Mass and
at other liturgical celebrations. Each lector is scheduled once
a month. Sometime during Christmas and Easter time a lector may
be called upon a second time. If you would like information
about becoming a lector please contact Angela Burns at
215-332-4842 or email at rburns35@comcast.net. |

| Extraordinary Ministers |
These ministers assist the priests by distributing
the Eucharist at Mass and to the homebound of the parish. They
bring the "Church" to the people by their visits.
These ministers also bring a parish bulletin to keep the
homebound informed about parish events. There are at least 3
minsters at every Mass and 5 ministers at the 4:30 vigil Mass
and the 7:00 pm Sunday Mass. Most ministers are scheduled about
3 times a month on a rotation for Sunday Masses, Holy days, and
once a monthly to go out to the homebound. Training is needed.
Schedules are for 2 months at a time. Contact: Angela Burns
215-332-4842 or rburns35@comcast.net

| Decorating Committee |
Parishioners, both men and women, design, prepare,
and arrange altar decorations. While this committee is
responsible for all decorations throughout the year, they pay
particular attention to flower arrangements that are used for
special feasts. |
|   |
| Greeters |
The greeters ministry meets and welcomes people on
their way in to celebrate Mass. The greeters offer a warm,
friendly hello to parishioners and visitors as they prepare to
worship as a community of Faith. |
|   |
| Ushers |
The ushers provide good order at the Mass, help
with the assignment of seating, assist anyone taken sick, and
take up the collection at various services. |
|   |
| Marthas |
A prayerful group of women meet each Monday
morning after the 8:30 AM Mass to give an added touch to keep
the church clean. They dust, vacuum, etc., providing an
important service in support of the liturgical functions. |
