Suggested Double Pad Design
I have not actually done this, nor do I plan to, but I have been asked about using my design to make a double pad with the "official" distance in the middle. As I have pointed out, if you put 2 of my pads together, the distance between them is almost 1 1/2" more than an arcade double. My suggestion is to build the second pad without a left border. The edges of the left arrow and X are exposed but other than looking a little awkward when the pad is by itself, it will work fine. Here is an image that shows what I am talking about.
Here is a picture that someone sent me of a double pad that they built using my design. They said it weighs 93 lbs.
