Occasionally I will add a "diorama" style picture. Here we have a non-AFV subject, but many tank modelers will be interested in these landing craft for displays with armored vehicles. This particluar kit is made by DRAGON Models and portrays an LCM-3 allied landing craft.
It comes with infantry figures and a diorama base. It is a much nicer kit than the old Airfix model, but apparently TRUMPETER makes an even nicer kit!
The kit does not have details of the hull below the waterline, but that makes it suitable for dioramas. The figures are molded in soft plastic, which seems a little more difficult to paint than hard plastic, but may prove to hold the paint better than the usual soft plastic figures (I got the impression the plastic is porous, and seems to actually soak up the paint a bit, like a sponge. Also, you can use conventional plastic glues on these figures.
