1/76 & 1/72 Scale AFV Museum: Coming Attractions for 2008 A.D....and beyond!

In the coming year(s) the museum will add a number of new acquisitions to the display area. We will have a few kits from heretofore unrepresented companies, as well as some from established companies. Some kits will replace items in the museum that are not quite display quality.

MILICAST: SIg 33 auf Pz II resin kit. About a dozen of these served with the vaunted Afrikakorps.

I really want to get this FINE SCALE FACTORY metal/resin kit of the Bergepanther finished this year. Ran into a snag due to missing parts and unclear instructions. You can follow the progress in the workshop.

AND here's an old out-of-print kit I bought on eBay (always check eBay!!!). The AA version of the AMX 30 tank made in the 70s by HELLER. I do need to buy some replacement tracks...the resin kit company ADV-mini makes some!

I trust this DRAGON offering will make a better model than the Matchbox kit of the StugIV. Looking in the box it appears to be a nice kit, the package notes lots of "new tooling", and there are photoetched side skirts. And you can never have enough WWII SP guns anyway!

I plan to assemble this OSTMODELS kit of this late-war Japanese CHI-NU Medium Tank, which never saw action because it stayed on the main Island awaiting the never-realized allied invasion. The kit is all resin, but I plan to replace the suspension units with those of a FUJIMI Chi-Ha kit.

DONE!

After many years AIRFIX has started producing original military vehicle kits again (the recent models are D-DAY-invasion based). I hope to put this one in the new "softskins" annex of the museum, soon as I create it.

UNIMODELS makes this model of the Finnish modification of the Soviet BT tanks. I plan to give this one the three-tone summer camo scheme used in 1943.

DONE!

REVELL-GERMANY put two vehicles in this box of HMMWVs. I hope to finish both! At least one will go into the "softskins" wing.

CROMWELL MODELS makes this resin rendition of the British "Abbot" SP gun.

MIRAGE MODELS from Poland have been making some really nice and detailed kits. Their version of the M3 Lee will probably turn out to be an improvement over the Airfix and Hasegawa kits.

US CASTS presents their Zrinyi I Hungarian SP Gun kit. The vehicle was only developed as far as the prototype stage, so I will probably convert this to the Zrinyi II, which did see action.
