AB Figures: British manufacturers of some very nice 1/76 figures for your vehicles.

Accurate Armour: Carry Milicast and FCM kits.

Ace Models: Plastic injection kits from the Ukraine.

AFV Decals: Nice sets of 1/76 decals for German WWII vehicles.

Attack Hobby Kits: The website of this Czech Republic manufacturer.

AIRFIX: This old stalwart has started releasing new braille-Scale kits!

BaxModels: Specialize in 1/72 kits of South African AFVs.

Bison Decals: Took over where AFV Decals left off.

Coelian Models: Make resin conversion kits.

Convoy: 1/76 resin/metal kits.

Cromwell Models Home Page: A major manufacturer of resin 1/76 scale kits.

Crusader Models: Manufacturer and distributor of a wide selection of small scale injection, resin, and metal kits.

Dragon Models: Becoming a major contributor to the plastic 1/72 AFV model scene.

Eastern Express: Maker of excellent Soviet armor plastic 1/72 kits.

Eduard: Make photo-etched detail sets.

Extratech: Make resin 1/72 AFV kits as well as photoetched metal detail sets.

FAA: Make nice figures for your tanks!

Fine Scale Factory: from Germany. Make 1/72 miniatures, including AFVs.

Firing Line Figures: British based manufacturer of British WWII vehicle metal kits.

GRAMODELS: This resin manufacturer has been around for awhile, but this website is new!

HASEGAWA: These folks have been the most consistent in making small scale armor.

HAULER: This Czech firm now makes 1:72 resin kits in addition to their previous 1:87 line.

HELLER: This French manufacturer is making 1:72 kits again. The website has downloadable catalogs.

Italeri: These folks are re-releasing some ESCI kits.

Jadar Models: Carry ARMO-JADAR, MODELKRAK and several other manufacturers.

JB Models: This company has been around for a while, and has really expanded their range of British 1/76 plastic vehicles in recent years.

Levamain: Make and sell LEVA PRODUCTIONS 1/72 resin kits

Liberation Miniatures: (or this second website): Produce RH Models resin kits. There seems to be two websites; here's another.

Martola Models: Producers of NRC 1/72 resin kits from Poland.

Matador Models: Resin kits (with metal parts) of interesting subjects from this company.

Microrealistixx: This German company makes 1/72 figures and AFV accesories.

Mirage Hobby: This Polish manufacturer is giving us some really nice plastic kits!

Milicast: This established manufacturer of high quality 1/76 resin kits now has their own website.

MMS Models: Manufacture some of the best metal kits.

Modeltrans: A manufacturer and distributor of resin kits; based in Germany.

MR Models: A manufacturer of resin kits (mostly conversion kits) from Germany.

PART: Specializes in photo-etched kits and accessories.

Pegasus Hobbies: The official website of this new manufacturer from California.

Planet Models: The official website of this Czech company.

Profi-kit: Resin kits from the Czech Republic.

Propaganda Kompany: This firm makes little motorcycle models!

PST website: Make 1/72 injection kits of Soviet WWII armor.

REVELL (Germany): Makers of some of the best 1/72 plastic AFV kits. (This site is in German; but it's the best place to see the newest releases!)

The Reviresco Home Page: Reviresco produces 1/72 scale metal kits of WWI and WWII vehicles, as well as figures and Sci-Fi vehicles.

Roden: New company with an initial 1/72 plastic release of a ISIII.

Skytrex/Hinchliffe: Website to order from; makers of 1/76 metal kits.

TP Models Teplice: 1/72 resin kits from this Eastern European (Czech?) producer.

TRUMPETER: Becoming a major producer of 1/72 plastic AFV kits.

TRUX Models: Make some interesting softskins, as well as bridges.

United-Fun: Makers of Cromwell/Germany and FCM resin models in 1/76 scale.

WSW-Modellbau: This manufacturer of resin kits is based in Germany, and focuses on modern vehicles.


1/72 & 1/76 Model Online Stores: get some hard to find items at these sites! (note that I have not purchased kits from all of these myself, so this list is not necessarily a personal recommendation)

7th Kompany: Distributor from Portugal carrying a variety of European manufacturers' kits. (ADV, Art Toys, Extratech, FSF, MarS, WSW, etc.)

The Atlantis Alliance: Distributes 1/76 and 1/87 scale metal and resin kits of soft-skinned and armoured vehicles. BW, CMSC, and Trux kits.

AviaPress: Distributors of models and books from Russia.

Brookhurst Hobbies: Carry quite a bit of stuff (the easiest way to find things is to click on the "Download listings" link).

eBay! Search for hard to find AIRFIX or ESCI items on the auction block. Or any company you can think of. Good luck!

Combined Arms:US distributor of Britannia resin/metal kits. Located in sunny Virginia.

Great Models: From Salt Lake City, USA; thousands of models.

Hannants: premiere store located in the UK...lots of stuff!

HobbyHQ: Store located in Australia, for all of you who want to go Down Under!

Hobby Link Japan: For you folks out East.

Hobbylinc: Georgia, USA based online store offers excellent mail-order service.

IBG Models: Distributor based in POLAND, carries a lot of manufacturers.

Internet Hobbies: A US online connection for plastic military models and armored fighting vehicles in 1/35, 1/48, 1/72, 1/76 and HO Scale.

M.C. Modellbau: A distributor from Germany that specializes in 1:72 vehicles.

Minutemen Toy Soldiers: Carry most of the popular plastic kits. Also BP Casts and Battlefield Miniatures. Have some nice wargaming photos.

MR Modellbau: Another distributor from Germany with lots of stuff!

The Modellbaustube: An Austrian distributor for you European collectors.

NKR MODELS HOME PAGE: Feature a wide selection of resin and plastic kits!

Phoenix Model Company Home Page: Has a great selection and some very attractive prices!

RLPBS: Illinois based distributor of BP Casts models.

R & J Enterprises: Carry ALBY kits!

Scale Link: Carry Matador kits! Located in the UK.

Smallscale.de: Distributor located in Germany, specializing in 1/72-1/76 figures and vehicles.

Squadron: One of the biggest distributors in the US.

Tracks & Troops: Popular distributor of plastic and resin kits; based in Belguim.

The 1/72 scale page Björn Bäcklund's modelling site. Nice scratchbuilding projects!

1/76 AFV Workshop: Hans van Oerle's site for 1/72-76 scale Military Modellers. Very nice models of some exotic vehicles!

Arcane Fighting Vehicles: Focuses on British tanks, and has a collection of 1/76 models.

Braille Scale Discussion group: Speak your mind, learn from others!

David's Small Worms: David Bilek's site with some nice weathering work!....."worms"???

Dazio Encyclopedia 1/72: A large listing of the small scale manufacturers and their products. Lots of photos of the packagings!

Henk of Holland: Henk Timmerman (a sculptor for Milicast and Ostmodels) portrays his work and collection.

Keith Goodman's modelling site: (aka "KG Wings") Has some really nice small scale armor.

LANDSHIPS: Focuses on WWI vehicles. Nice kits and articles.

Mes Blindes au 1/72 ou 1/76eme: A french site with lots of pictures.

Minibox Fan: Okay, it's in Japanese, but there are lots of nice photos.

Minitracks: A French/English online magazine with info on new releases, a discussion forum, and construction articles.

PERSONAL FAVORITE! "On the Way": Dedicated to 1/72 scale armor; includes a nice big list of manufacturers! Viewers' gallery and kit reviews - frequently updated. Almost all you need in a small scale AFV page!

Pavlikovo modely: Nice site from Europe (Czech Republic?) with a gallery of AFVs.

SSAMSIG: Small Scale Armor Modelling Special Interest Group (new web address).

Small Scale AFV pages: A new site from the Czech Republic, brought to you by "Sandman and Overlord". In English and Czech.

Small Scale Scene: Hosted by Robin Buckland, contributor to Military Modeling Magazine.

WW2 Military Miniatures: Tony Ivey's new website featuring lots of unique subjects.

Armor Group West HQ: Has info on remote-controlled AFV models.

Panzer Model Kit: A site from Eastern Europe with plenty of pictures.

Track-Link: Premier AFV modelers website, also has small-scale sections!

Achtung Panzer!: This homepage is dedicated to history of German tanks in World War II.

AFV database: Lots of technical info!

Armour Archive: World register of preserved tanks.

AFV NEWS-Tanks & Armor Page: G. BRADFORD: Tons of info! Who could ask for more?

Battle Tanks: Lots of pictures of the Aberdeen collection, with info.

Encyclopedia of WWII tanks. Nice comprehensive listing with info, categorized by countries.

Modern Tanks: Polish site with photos and data of post-WWII tanks.

On War: Data on WWII tanks with technical drawings.

Sturmtiger.com: This partially bilingual site (English/German) has some in-depth articles on german WWII armor.

WWII Tanks: Mario Paesani's (a former M47 tanker) site with technical data, museum photographs and anecdotes.

WWII Vehicles: Lots of data, especially for those featured in Advanced Squad Leader.


Tank Museums:

Aberdeen Proving Grounds: One of the largest collections of tanks in the world.

Museum of Armored Forces, Kubinka: Russia's big tank museum. Here's another site! Final resting place of the MAUS!

Patton Museum Online: Nice indoor display!

The Tank Museum at Bovington: One of the best museums and a great website!

World War II Victory Museum in Indiana, USA.

WWW.Jagdtiger.de: This site is a nice compilation of museum pictures.


Military Modeling Sites:

HaT Industrie: Producers of 1/76 scale figures. This site also contains a "historical" section with images of out of print figures and packages.

Military Miniatures magazine: An on-line magazine with a comprehensive look at small scale military models and figures. Several kits from this museum re-appear there as in-depth reviews.

Tony Matteliano's Scale Model Bookmarks: This is a great up-to-date listing of modeling websites.


AFV Gaming:

Historical Wargaming in St. John's, Canada: Lots of nice photos of small scale armor in action.


Military History:

Helion and Company: Specialize in military reference books.

Landmark Military Books: Based in England.
