St. Peter Lutheran Nursery School in the shepherd's care Margaret Kelly, Director 609-466-6511 St. Peter Lutheran Nursery School offers a well-rounded, Christian preschool program for three and four year olds. Our teachers have developed a theme-based curriculum for each age group, with the serious work of learning through play taking a central role in the daily plans for the students. Through developmentally appropriate experiences, the children discover and learn. Our students take part in a variety of activities, both self-selected and teacher-guided, which enable them to develop essential skills in language, listening, and observation. Art and music activities foster creativity and self-expression. Ample play with friends allows the children to increase cooperation and communication skills, as well as to develop large and small muscle coordination. Daily activities are enhanced by field trips and other special events. In addition, students in our program learn of God's love for them. They are exposed to Christian beliefs and values using songs, stories, and prayer. At St. Peter Lutheran Nursery School, our aim is to strengthen each child's sense of worth, and foster the positive development of the whole child. To that end, we provide experiences that will allow our students to grow and learn in a loving, supportive, and nurturing environment. In its atmosphere of Christian love, our school responds to the spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the preschool child. Working hand in hand with the parents, we provide children with a setting in which they will blossom. St. Peter Lutheran Nursery School operates as a state licensed and inspected program. We are a nonprofit, church-sponsored nursery school. We admit students of all religious, racial, and ethnic backgrounds, and do not discriminate in the administration of admissions or educational policies.
