Advent Dinner & Wreath Making |
Worship,
Sunday School, and Bible Study
Thanksgiving Eve Service will be held at St. Peter at 7:30 p.m. Make thanking
God in worship your priority this year.
Pastor Jim Buckman to visit St. Peter. Please make a special note regarding worship on
Sunday December 13th. That is the day Pastor Jim, LCMS World
Missions Partner with the NJ District, will be visiting and preaching at St.
Peter. Pastor Jim will share with us God’s Word and his work among the
immigrants of NJ. This will be a special day. You won’t want to miss it!
Do you know what happened after the death of Martin Luther? How was the
Reformation carried on and by whom? This is the topic of the Adult Class for today, The Legacy
of Martin Luther. We meet in the sanctuary at 9:25.
Women's Bible Study. Please join us for Bible study on Thursdays at 1:00
at the church. Our
new study is The Secrets of the
Service
Voter’s Assembly Meeting.
We will be having a Voters
Assembly meeting on Sunday, December 6, at 6:30 pm at the church. At this meeting, the budget for 2010 will be
presented and voted upon, and an update of the building project will be
presented.
Food Pantry.
Thank you for supporting the Confirmation Class and its gathering of items for
the Lambertville Food Pantry. Donated items have been taken to the pantry..
Operation Christmas Child. Thank you to
all who filled shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. We were able to add 16
boxes to those that the nursery school has prepared! It will make it a special
Christmas for those children receiving the boxes.
Church Property Committee Attention List. - A church property Attention list has
been posted on the inside of the lower level janitor's closet door (just
outside the kitchen). If you identify a needed maintenance or repair,
please enter it on the list. In addition, you can contact directly Dick
Cluever, Dave Maynard, or the appropriate member of the church property committee.
Names are included at the top of the list.
Youth
and Family Fellowship
Our annual Advent Potluck Dinner and Wreath Making will be held on Sunday December 29th at
5:30. Bring a main dish, salad, or dessert to share. After dinner those that
want may make advent wreaths for their nightly family devotion time. Be sure to
bring your advent wreath base. We will provide the greens. At the conclusion of
the evening we will have the first advent devotion of the season.

Ministry
LADIES CHRISTMAS DINNER---Mark December 10th on your calendar for
dinner at the Cock ‘n Bull Restaurant in Peddlar’s Village, with dessert to
follow at Rosalie Reinbacher’s house.
We’ll meet at 6:00 pm. Sign up
sheet is on the poster behind the coffee table in the narthex. Friends and
family are all welcome.
Christmas Cookie and Candy Sale Women’s
Ministry would like to help you with your Christmas and Holiday Baking by
providing an opportunity to purchase cookies and candies on Saturday December 5th
from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. While you’re selecting your goodies, the children
will be able to participate in making crafts. Come and enjoy a time of
fellowship. Invite your neighbors and friends.

Prayer Chain. If you have a prayer request please contact Mollie
Steimle after 5:00 PM or leave a message anytime. All requests will be kept confidential.
Follow up reports and prayers of thanksgiving are encouraged as well.
