Worship,
Sunday School, and Bible Study
Do you know what happened after the death of Martin Luther? How was the
Reformation carried on and by whom? This is the topic of the Adult Class for today, The Legacy
of Martin Luther. We meet in the sanctuary at 9:25.
Women's Bible Study. Please join us for Bible study on Thursdays at 1:00
at the church. Our
new study is The Secrets of the
Service
Social Ministry - Please prayerfully consider ways in which you can volunteer to help the
Social Ministry Committee. There are so many people suffering and in need
of help in one way or another. We can all come together to accomplish
many ways to use our gifts and blessings God has given us: providing Christmas
gifts for children, providing food for the hungry, donating baby items for
Choice One, providing food and serving the food at Luther Towers, providing
cookies for our troops, donating personal hygiene items for the Red Cross, and
helping with the Orphan Grain Train. We
need coordinators, assistants, and helpers as well. Please use the sign-up
sheet in the back of the church. Questions? Contact Jo Cluever.
Food Pantry.
The Confirmation Class is gathering non-perishable items for the Lambertville
Food Pantry. Donated items including food, paper goods and toiletries may be
brought to church through Nov. 8th.. They will then be delivered that week to the
pantry.
Operation Christmas Child. The Nursery
School is once again participating in Operation Christmas Child, in which shoe
boxes are filled with school supplies, toys, hygiene items, etc. and delivered
to needy children throughout the world.
Members of the congregation are welcome to join in this effort. “How to” brochures are on the table in the
narthex. Collection deadline for boxes
is November 15.
Church Property Committee Attention List. - A church property Attention list has
been posted on the inside of the lower level janitor's closet door (just
outside the kitchen). If you identify a needed maintenance or repair,
please enter it on the list. In addition, you can contact directly Dick
Cluever, Dave Maynard, or the appropriate member of the church property committee.
Names are included at the top of the list.
