LINKS: The following are links to other web sites that might be of interest to individuals who have been motivated to visit this site. The Appreciative Inquiry Commons -- A great resource for information on the topic of Appreciative Inquiry. It has a wealth of information on the process and how it's been used in a wide variety of circumstances all around the world. It also provides great AI resource materials from an array of generous AI Practitioners. It also contains comprehensive information on sources for related training. The HRO Summit site -- This is a page that documents the HRO Summit conducted by the Human Resources Office of the Commander, Navy Region Northwest. The planning and execution was facilitated by three of the founding partners in the Center for Appreciative Learning, Living and Leadership (CALLL-NW), Larry Bartholomew (StrengthBuilders), Joy Evans Peterson (Heart to Heart) and Ron Robinson (Robinson & Associates). It offers a good example of the richness provided by an AI Summit process. The Center for Appreciative Learning, Living and Leadership (CALLL-NW) site -- This site provides information about this consortium of seven independent OD consultants who have combined forces to provide a variety of AI-based products to organizations interested in trying a new approach to organizational change. StrengthBuilders is a founding partner of this consortium. The The Center for Learning Connections -- The Center for Learning Connections (CLC) designs training and manages projects to help individuals and organizations respond to change and improve quality. They are especially effective in working with educators (at all levels and locations), welfare and workforce development professionals, and community based organizations. RESOURCES: The following are documents that may be of some interest to browsers of this site. It will continue to expand as time goes on. Best Management Books -- If you're looking for some reading or reference material on management and leadership, this is a list that was compiled from recommendations of the members of the Appreciative Inquiry Listserve. It is not in any particular order, but it contains the names of all the good one's and some more obscure ones that may be worth a look. Article: Joining Forces with Navy Northwest -- This article was co-authored by Larry Bartholomew, Joy Peterson and Ron Robinson about their insights gained from facilitating the planning, design and conduct of an AI Summit conducted for the Human Resources Office of the Commander, Navy region Northwest and subsequent follow-up activity. It's a slightly extended version of one due to be published in the May 05 issue of the AI Practitioner. Article: BRAC HR Lessons Learned -- This is an article written by Larry Bartholomew in 1996 to describe lessons his organization learned while he was serving as HR Director for the last two years of Mare Island Naval Shipyard's existence and subsequently as the Site Manager of the Mare Island Detachment of the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard after its closure. It was originally published as part of a Department of Defense's Office of Economic Adjustment Community Guidance Manual entitled, "Workforce Adjustment Strategies: Coping with the Human Aspects of Base Closure and Defense Industry Downsizing," in October 1996
