Thanks to our mistakes we have time to review and review and review. There are not many opportunities for those who have been through legal battles fraught with betrayal of those hired to represent them. Girlfriend who was injured by the dog, now has arthritis and her leg continues to give out unexpectedly, the decision to move to a remote region, though safe now from criminal activity makes it unsafe for a walker with limited mobility.
Virginia is Hell, corrupt with rot and hypocrisy. Do not depend upon the "authorities" in this state as they bend with their whims and so does the law. Who would think that a Christian attorney would go on a crusade to defend a cross dressing abuser ? How about the courts who take a child from their mother and then do not ensure the safety of the child ?
Lessons learned
- Religion in the Virginia courts is a fact. They will persecute without facts those they deem sinners.
- Evidence and facts are irrelevant to the interpretation of the law. Things like evidence and facts will be avoided and dismissed to make the outcome appear to be whatever is deemed convenient.
- We tried confrontation to which the attorney whined that they knew what they were doing, to trust them, just like a scammer.
- We tried telling, documenting and providing counsel the assets, assets that were never contacted to determine merit or worth. A practice which others in this "profession" excuse with their "strategy" response, that their crony made a bad call. They do not know how many "bad calls" their crony has made, nor do they care as long as they can fleece the sheep.
- We tried writing grievances to the authorities, the press and the politicians. These were dismissed and unaddressed.
- We tried contacting the other counsel avenue and forums such as lawyers.com where they, the professionals blamed the client for their crony not using material and losing the case.
Good luck in Virginia with hiring these "professionals", if you are seeing mental health counselors ask them if they were contacted. Especially if your attorney keeps dropping the ball, missing things, this will not do much good because when you approach another crony or the Virginia State Bar with this issue they will dismiss it with the "strategy excuse" - in a conflict theater everything is strategy and this is dismissed. Asking will identify to you that you too are being fleeced by members of the Virginia State Bar.
There are several anomalies from the period of the
crusading attorney. In a meeting the husband's attorney stated that he was going to destroy us, he was politically active and religious, an attorney for the Christian Brotherhood. We had church members showing up at the house, we were told that the third attorney retained was running for political office, an individual that claimed to be my girlfriends estranged brother who would show up with his wife in limousines and a neighbor who we took to court once.
The
crusading attorney was upset at our relationship, dismissing the years of abuse and mental health counseling that my girlfriend had undertaken before leaving and that I had met her after she had moved in with another family. I had witnessed this attorneys client loft their child at the woman that had taken my girlfriend in knocking her down. Entertainment in that household was listening in on the husbands rants and threats to kill everyone. This attorney was so offended that chattel tried to escape their captor that when my girlfriends
Fourth Attorney's strategy was to bankrupt her, this attorney showed up as a friend of the court. The fourth attorney claimed that the crusader was liable for "abuse of process". We do not know what this crusaders relationship was with my girlfriends
Third Attorney, whether there was a political or shared religious belief but there were numerous times when this attorney omitted things. The notable time in court was when my girlfriend tried to hand a document that proved the periods being presented to the court by the crusader were incorrect and the
Third Attorney, patted her hand, had her put the document back and said "professional courtesy".
The neighbor that we took to court disappeared for a while and when they returned they were smiling, it was odd. Following that they started harassing and vandalizing us, I knew that they were opportunistic but the conflict they started did not make much sense unless there was an outside factor. Did this neighbor talk to the crusading attorney ?
The
alleged estranged brother is the anomaly that I do not understand, was he honest with my girlfriend ? Was he actually her half brother from a father she had never met ? If he was not, why did he show up ? Apparently he had money and physical reasons did not fit. Around 2000, when my girlfriends attorney deserted, this jerk convinced her to get several credit cards, she was being sued by the specialist that the deserting attorney had her see. Regardless I told her not to, but she did it anyway. I was not going to pay on them, this jerk did, he must have paid the minimum payment because after several years they had a significant amount on them. Before this "brother" left he said that he had foreign assets that would get my girlfriend out of trouble, that an attorney from Africa would be in touch with her to hand over a portion of that estate something like twenty million dollars (yeah). This is how we got involved with the Africans, got sucked into their silly scams. If my girlfriend had profited from this I would believe that I was being played, she would have been gone, but she did not. During this period I had physical problems, passing out, collapsing and falling asleep anywhere - thought that I was dying and the Africans were a "Hail Mary", a means to escape our situation. Deserting attorneys, crusading attorneys, cross dressing trans gender religious nuts, abusers - Virginia sucks.
Unfortunately my girlfriend had put my name and phone number as a reference to these credit card companies so they attached to me. When asked these companies would not release who had paid on the cards or even who the cards were too. Allegedly this "brother" disappeared into the Federal Witness Protection and left my girlfriend with significant debt. Since my girlfriend was unemployed, without income I expected that at the most she might have had a limit of $2000. When they attached I notice that each of the cards had limits of over $10,000, I freaked. Why did these companies give someone that was unemployed such a high limit ? I did not co-sign on the card and when I asked her she said that she believed that she put my name down as a reference only. Since
2005 to 2008 I have been trying to obtain legal representation for my girlfriend that will finish this mess, these "professionals" are dismissive liars.
To realize how deep the corruption is in Virginia all one has to do is watch a Virginia Judge listen to an attorney preaching the gospel in court, after which the judge will not listen to any further evidence and of course find in favor of the preacher - this is plausible deniability. The judge will say that they heard nothing refuting the claims that they heard. We know what "due process" is in the Virginia courts, conflict of interest is rampant, avoidance of responsibility for services rendered is accepted.
The
dog bite attorney deserted and was stealing his clients settlements. We were a client for five years, was our settlement stolen, the last contact we had with the insurance company was that we had a case. This desertion did not happen in a vacuum just how "diligent" was the Virginia State Bar in one Probono clients case ? This institutions negligence and excusing their members mistakes as "strategy" is habitual avoidance.
