Leslie Byrne, Strode Brent and Micheal Sharman

Leslie Byrne & Woman's Rights ?
I was curious about who was running against Mr. A. Strode Brent so on one of my searches for references I found this article, Leslie is Too Liberal for Virginia. Reading the article I discovered that Ms. Leslie Byrne was running against Mr. Brent. I thought that here was a politician that had run against our attorney, they might be interested in some history and I was hoping to get further details about that period. Back in the 90's the only thing I had was a comment by an upset real estate agent and a crusading attorney. Leslie Byrne could shed some light on that period in our lives.....

February 28, 2009 I sent an email to info@lesliebyrne.org, it is now March 15, 2009 and still no response to my communications. At least the Governor of Virginia Tim Kaine's office responded that ours was a local matter. Is Ms. Byrne just another politician using catch phrases or is there an actual concern about "Womans Rights" in Virginia ?
I tried to post a comment on Leslie Byrne's blog, it was removed. I expected some sort of response from the post, the post was never acknowledged, it was censored and dismissed. Our experience's are representative of one low income, woman's plight in Virginia, a state that Ms. Leslie Byrne is a politician in. I had hoped that my girlfriend could get some help from a politician that claims to support womans rights.....

Today March 20, 2009  I found Leslie L. Byrne on Wikipedia. According to Wikipedia Mr. A. Strode Brent Jr. ran for the "Virginia House of Delegates election for the 38th District" in 1987 and 1989.
We may have hired him in 1989, I thought that it was 1990, so was he running for office when he was supposed to be representing my girlfriend? It identifies that Mr. Brent was politically active during this period, in the Republican Party and "conflict of interest" could have explained the "strategies" used in the courtroom.
Here is an excerpt from the first article found on Mr. Brent "Leslie is Too Liberal for Virginia "
Leslie Byrne won her first political office thanks to now-congressman Tom Davis. Many years back, the 38th District had a conservative Republican in office by the name of Gwen Cody. Davis encouraged his buddy, Strode Brent, a liberal Republican, to challenge Cody in a primary. Davis brought out all his liberal supporters and Brent defeated Cody by just a couple of votes. Brent went on to lose against the Democrat Leslie Byrne, who was a liberal activist and a member of the liberal League of Women Voters.

Brent tried a couple of times to defeat Byrne and failed every time. We then nominated Barry Caron, a strong conservative, over the objection of Tom Davis. Barry ran a good race, but we were overwhelmed by the spending from the liberal side.
