From one side of their mouth attorneys claim to be "officers of the court" tasked to uphold the law. If one tasks them to execute a "strategy" of representing them the other side of their mouth opens and they claim to be a "business". This excuse is used for not researching an item, that it would take too much time or too costly - note that this is the excuse used when the material was identified and was available. It is understood that one may not be able to afford a Private Investigator or hire another professional to prove a detail, however when a client hands their attorney an outline or during the case material is exposed the client should expect that the attorney they retained would represent them with some competence.
I cite our cases, where medical professionals, documents, dates, video, police reports and witnesses were all dismissed. This is called strategy by the Virginia State Bar and covered up, the damaged client is told that they can hire another and another and another to try to address the failings of the prior failures.
When one tries to address the failings one is confronted with obfuscation and deception. A noteworthy example was when my girlfriend filed bankruptcy, did the attorney at the time relay the mistakes of prior counsel and this trustee ignored another professional? One's own attorneys "strategy" is to buy time so that they can get away with profiteering and personal gain there is no concern for competent, professional service from this population. The oversight organization looks the other way, hiding behind "strategy" excuses. Many professions are performance related yet the one profession that destroys peoples lives has no effective controls. There are no "debriefings" which happen in the military after missions, there is no accountability, no place to register a complaint of service, no other member that is willing to go against one of their own, a colossal cover up.
So what does this mean in the country of torture, profiteering and scams.....that there is no such thing as a "legal professional", they cannot identify who is a "good apple" or who is not one. Some claim that Jay Scott Bybee is a "good apple", some populations claim that these people are "good apples". So when we are told about "good apples" or "bad apples" I cannot help but wonder who is good and who is bad? Is the good one the one that allows torture and war crimes or the one that stands up against them ? Who stood up in against these activities ? Who stands up against the corrupt attorney, when we went to an attorney that addresses "legal malpractice" to address our deserting attorney, they laughed, at us, the Bar was going to take everything - did the Bar take an out of court settlement we saw no proof that the case was still active, besides the "claim" from the Bar ?
Jay Scott Bybee and Rule of Law - Torture is supposed to be against the law.
The attorney, an officer of the court, Mr. Bybee interpreted the law to mean that "some" torture is legal, his memos were used to allow others commit crimes. For his "interpretation" Mr. Bybee was made a judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. So now we have this individual sitting on the bench "interpreting" law and making judgments based on his whimsical interpretation.
John Yoo a professor of law at the University of California, Berkeley's School of Law (Boalt Hall). Yet he too had a problem with interpretation of the law to not be a law, a professor and officer of the court facilitating international crime....
Here are some highlights of the "advice" given by our attorneys. One has to ask whether these Virginia "professionals" diligently represented their clients. If they did not represent one client how diligently are they representing other clients ?
Of course because time has passed one is told that it is too late to address legally, that we have "sour grapes" and of course that these populations diligently perform their services. This comes from the Virginia State Bar an Agency of the Supreme Court of Virginia, law, where is "rule of law" if they cover up abuses.
