Another social experiment on the integrity of the Virginia legal profession.
In continuing with my attorney experiments I wrote the following email to the attorney that allegedly represented my CVS Police Assault incident in 2005. Now as in the other attorneys cases, the Virginia State Bar considers this attorneys representation acceptable, this Agency of the Virginia State Bar does not address "strategy" complaints, but one can hire another member.
Would you want one of these attorneys representing you ? How would one research potential representation if no one collects negative reviews or grievances ?
The June 26, 2009 email ... The Daugherty Law Firm
A Reminder for your firm...
I still do not understand why you, allegedly an officer of the court, chose a strategy that sacrificed your client in regards to a January 12, 2005 incident.
It could not be for profit because if your client was right about the store security video a suit could have brought amounting to millions, according to similar incident at Colonial Beach. Maybe it was still about profit, choosing a volume business strategy versus a diligent service strategy, highlighted by the observed processing of multiple cases that day in court.
Maybe it is because you are a drone for the establishment, anything the cops say you believe. In your office the day that I retained you, the sell was that I had rights, the right to question a request for id. I informed you of the store video, circumstances of the event and provided a CD containing relevant documentation, this you dismissed.
It could be that there is a connection to our past, that you are another member of the Christian Brotherhood. In a period from 1989 to 1995 there was an attorney, a politically active member of the Christian Brotherhood who threatened to destroy us.
After the sentencing/incarceration I did not expect that your firm would ignore communications, phone calls, letters, you were supposed to be an officer of the court and allegedly my attorney. I accepted the deal because you had identified that the Virginia courts were corrupt, that "rule of law", "presumption of innocence" and "evidence" did not apply. This was supported by the judge that went on a rant against the prosecutor for making the deal. I knew that "double jeopardy" would apply after being punished, so I expected that even if you were not capable of handling a real case you could obtain the store video so that I could get a real attorney.
I have questioned the Virginia State Bar's selection process stating that based upon the ten attorneys we have retained I have no confidence in the integrity of the population in this profession.
This is a reminder that you ignored evidence, that I am using your representation as a "poster child" in my collection of corrupt Virginia attorneys.
Some links that put context on this attorneys betrayal - remember the CVS store video that this attorney ignored.....
