November 8, 2011 our vote and what happened with the Registrar?

Over two months have passed since the communications with the Registrar (January 25, 2012)
November 08, 2011 Voting is compromised?

Today it is January 25, 2012 and I still have not heard back from the Registrar to review that machine.

Quite a bit of time has passed since November. It would not have taken much for me to believe the mistake was mine, however if this voting thing is a concern, a civic duty and someone believes that the machine is wrong why has this Registrar not responded with an invite?

Voting that day was supposed to be an excuse to take the day off so I could have missed Colgan on the ballot. However the excuses, seeing a district, not seeing a district, error tapes and finally stating that I would be invited to see the test, an invite that never occurred.

I can make up excuses, it may have been the new location and the districting issue the Registrar identified in their e-mails.

Or there was only one Democrat on the ballot and our district could not vote for that seat, yet I saw the Republican. Again the choices I saw were "Gordy" and "write in" so if one was not paying attention Gordy would get a vote. The two districts were voting at the same location, did the voting card handed me identify my district?

Why did I see Gordy and not Colgan?

Does a vote matter?

They say in this country that a vote matters, to the right are the e-mails between the Registrar and myself, you tell me. As usual none of the others I included bothered to reply to my correspondence.

My girlfriend still has not received her voter id card?

I find this interesting also, my girlfriend is unemployed, does not pay taxes and she has not received her voter id card. I however received my voter id card, if I had not we would not have known about the new voting location.

My girlfriend has tried repeatedly to obtain her voter card, if she had not been living with me she would not have known about the new location.

Here are some questions resulting from the issues described here:

  • How many people who have had their polling stations changed, have not recieved their voter card informing them of the change?
  • Why did I recieve a voter card and not my girlfriend?
  • Are our issues with the missing candidate and selective sending of voter cards just bureaucratic negligence or a symptom of bureacracy infected by individual attempting to "game" the system?
  • Why hasnt the Registrar contacted me with the invite to review the machine? What I believe I did not see on the ballot, could have been:
    • My failing eyes.
    • A result of programming not able to handle two districts.
    • It could have been intentional because few Democrats were on our ballot why not attempt to exclude the rest or the Sunday voters.

So why hasnt the Registrar gotten back with me?

Why wont Virginia send my girlfriend her voter card identifying the new polling location?
