One
major project undertaking was the dining room. There were
several layers of wallpaper and paint that need to be removed
down to the original plaster walls. Holes were then made in
the wall to blow in insulation. This house has NO insulation
in any wall. After the insulating was completed the holes were
patches as well as any cracks in the plaster. A new wallboard
ceiling was installed over the original. Painted was done,
with a faux finish above the newly installed chair rail.
Several unique items were discovered in the process. The arch
entry and arc bookcase push out were originally squared
off.
