The foyer
had a mini-remodel when we first bought the house in 1991 due
to a water leak in the upstairs bathroom. In 2005 we started
tackling a full remodel of the foyer and up the stairs.
First was
to remove all the multiple layers of wallpaper & paint. Second
was to add insulation around the front door and stairs window.
Patching cracks in the walls and finishing out the new wall
where a door to the kitchen had existed. The next step was to
hang new wallpaper. Paint-able wallpaper was put along the
bottom of the wall. Rip-able wallpaper was put above for a
nice effect.
