7-10-01 Kelly Goes to Taronga Zoo

Hey guys, I was bummed out that we couldn't talk longer, but this morning was insane. I literally ran all over to call really quickly so i didn't miss the bus to the zoo. We got to take a ferry to the zoo, which was exciting for me (you know how little things make me happy!) Also you had to take a gondala thing to get up to the entrance. The zoo itself was really neat. We got to see all kinds of animals, including the koala which were a personal favorite. If we had gotten there a little earlier, i could have held one, so i was a little bummed out :( i walked around with two of my friends and all three of us were in really silly moods, i think part of it was lack of sleep. they decided i look like a giraffe of all animals. its kind of funny because in high school when we would play the "what animal would you be" game, everyone always said giraffe -- is it that obvious to everyone? I took a ton of pictures so you could see all the cool animals. after that it started pooring like crazy. i haven't been in a storm like that in forever. everyone else was freaking out, but i loved it. when we got back on the ferry, you could see an incredible rainbow. you could see the entire arch over the harbor and there was a double rainbow for half of it. i tried to get a picture, but it won't even do it justice. after that we took the bus back here, i almost fell asleep on the way back. i ate a quick dinner and then me and my friend Kali walked to a grocery store to get a cake for one girl's birthday. I didn't especially feel like going, but everyone else seemed to bail. i think she really appreciated it though, which was cool. as soon as i got back i ran to the workout place. then i came over to the computer lab to check email and i'm going sleepy soon. i'll give a call either tomorrow or soon, probably tomorrow morning though. i love you guys!Tarona
