Kelly Goes to Olympics
Hey guys, Don't worry about the rambling, you know i'm not exactly the short talker. all the girls at school make fun of me -- "to make a long story short..." was my quote on the quoteboard at school! I was excited to hear back from you.
Today we went to the Olympic site which was really cool. the only problem was that everyone was exhausted after 4 hours of class starting at 8:30 every day!! class is really awesome, i'm learning all about international advertising and language barriers and stuff. some of the basic stuff is stuff i learned at W&L so its cool to be able to compare between my old profs and the australian one.
My friend adam and i tried to get in the tennis center so i could take a pic, but we couldn't get in. its funny because he looks completely like pete sampras (everyone makes fun of him), so i told him i'd get a pic in the center with him and tell my family that i happened to run into pete :) i have to run to dinner in a second... the food isn't t! oo bad and its nice to have set meals every day.
oh yeah, we tried croc, buffalo
and kangaroo when we were camping!!! how crazy is that??? i liked the buffalo
a lot and the kangaroo had a good taste, but it was a little chewy. i have some
kangaroo jerky to bring home for everyone.
dad -- here's my info... phone # (including country code) 61+2+9315+0635 room # B179 in Basser (not that you really need to know, but just so you have it) I have to run to dinner, but i'll give a call soon and we can figure out a time for IM or whatever. Guess what?? we got tickets to Cirque de Soleil, its touring in sydney (dad, i think you mentioned it before) tickets are really hard to get, but our prof got them a while ago. i'm going thursday, so i'm really excited because i've wanted to go ever since that imax. by the way, i didn't forget about mom's bday, i sent her a really funny card :)
I Love you guys!! love, me
