96-97 Eddie Belfour Eddie was the man in Chicago, backstopping the Hawks during their great years in the 1990's... winning a bunch of trophies and All-Star appearances along the way. One tough SOB, he finally picked up the Stanley Cup with Dallas, wish he could have gotten the Hawks the Cup in 92! Has the third-most wins all-time! |

| 1996-97 Ed Belfour Nike home airknit. Great exterior pilling on this one, probably the best I've seen... on the
front & both cuffs. A few stick marks here & there and the fight strap is off-colored from washings. "G"
written on the Nike size tag & 1 written behind the NHL shield. With team letter noting the jersey was used in Set
1 of Belfour's last season with the Blackhawks. The original collector whom I got this shirt from purchased the
jersey from Hawkquarters in 1998.
96-97 was the first year for the Hawks wearing Nike jerseys, and the first year since 82-83 not to wear CCM. Note the larger headed crest. |
This pic may be a match... there looks to be some marks to the right of the crest where there are some faded marks on the jersey, as well as the mark higher on the left shoulder which is also faded from washing on the shirt. Also, in looking at the feather detail, the yellow & green feathers look to match up in the off-center of the detail. Does that make sense?
