84-85 Darryl Sutter

The 2nd Sutter to hit the NHL, Darryl captained the Hawks through the mid 80's. Although he lost a lot of games to injury he was one tough customer and scored some important goals in the PO's. Would you expect anything else from a Sutter? Current GM of the Calgary Flames.

84-85 Darryl Sutter CCM knit home jersey w/Gunzo's on the rear hem and the Captain's C on the chest. Great wear, 11 repairs, marks and blood stains all over... a very small shirt, probably a size 46, typical of Sutter jerseys. This set can be dated by the CCM being a patch on the rear hem. In 83-84 CCM was screened on & 85-86 on it was sewn in, making this a one year style. The born in tag does not remain, and the dealer who originally bought this set wrote the incorrect year behind the CCM inside the hem 85-86. This has been seen on other shirts in this set (Milt? Murf? Who did it???)

The above pics may be a match. The marks on the stomach area are probable on the top pic near the right glove, however the details of the crest are key in both pics. All the Hawks crests were sewn individually, so no two were exactly alike up through the late 80's. The yellow braids in the hair and the facial details all match up favorably. Check some of my other 80's Hawks crests to notice the subtle differences.
