85-86 Tom Lysiak
Lysiak was a great player in his day, averaging nearly a point a game player for much of his career, which included time
as the Captain of the Atlanta Flames. Lysiak is perhaps best known for intentionally tripping an official in 83-84 which
led to a 20 game suspension, the longest ever in the league until recently.
Was a quiet, steady performer for years. |
| 1985-86 Tom Lysiak CCM ultrafil with Gunzo's screened on the rear hem & the Goalieman sewn in. CCM
tag in neck along with 84 10 born on date. 15 repairs, great interior
pilling, marks, stains, filth, the works!
Great shirt from Lysiak's last year in the league. The shirt is dated by the goalie man on the rear hem
and the CCM sewn in.
The Hawks used the Goalieman only in 85-86 & 86-87 (Lysiak retired after 85-86). May have been used in 84-85 as well based
on the goalie man being sewn in and Gunzo's being screened on,
but with the CCM being sewn in, my money's on 85-86. (Gunzo's was screened on in 84-85
& 85-86 and was sewn in 86-87l) I still need to research, I'm
betting I can video match it eventually. Also shows signs of the old tie-down fight strap being replaced by the velcro
strap.

This picture is not a match,
just thought I'd toss it in. Hope to have time to research a video
match soon. |
