Sheila Sullivan-Corbitt , attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth where she majored in painting and graduated with a bachelor's degree of fine art. For the next several years Ms. Corbitt worked in the Publications Department at the M.I.T. Lincoln Laboratory as a graphic artist. Upon the birth of her son in July 1998, Ms. Corbitt left her employment at M.I.T. to stay home and be a full time mom, in time this wonderful opportunity also lent itself to pursuing her love of painting. Her painting style shows a post-impressionistic influence with a favorite subject being nature, farm life and garden scenes. Ms. Corbitt is a member of the Andovers Artists Guild and has exhibited her work in various galleries on Cape Cod, local libraries as well as juried exhibitions. She annually participates in the Andovers Artists Guild's Art in the Park in September and is a active volunteer in the Guild serving on the Art in the Park committee.
