The best system to use when an opponent does not show up is the Stableford Scoring System  .

 Using your handicap for the round you play the card as follows:

 Handicap                Strokes         Holes

 9 and under            0                    0

10                              1                    4

11                              2                    4,7

12                              3                    4,7,2

13                              4                    4,7,2,1

14 and above          5                    4,7,2,1,5

Record your actual score and points will be awarded as:

Bogey  = 1 point

Par      = 2 points

Birdie   = 3 points

Eagle   = 4 points

If you are given a stroke on hole 4 and you score a 5 your net score will be a 4 and that would give you 2 points and so on.......

The lowest score you can get is a 5 for your team.  (Credit for showing up)

If you have a hot round you could score as much as 18 points.

This will make your round more interesting and a great opportunity to score big.
