April 28, 1914: A letter from Willamette Lodge #2 addressed to Grand Master S. S. Spencer, accompanied by a petition to form a new Lodge, signed by 27 Master Masons, the petition named, A.B. Brown as W.M., E. E. Eller as S.W. and J. Wright as J.W. May 2, 1914: Upon the recommendation of Willamette Lodge, Grand Master Spencer issued a dispensation to establish Sunnyside Lodge. May 8, 1914: Sunnyside Lodge under dispensation was established and instituted by Weston G. Shellenbarger, acting Grand Master. Sunnyside Lodge under dispensation held their first meeting in Dawley Hall, East 34th and Yamhill Street until July 1, 1914 when they were constituted as Sunnyside Lodge #163 under charter by the Grand Lodge of Oregon. June 17, 1915: The same Officers were installed by Grand Master F.J. Miller. In 1917: Land was purchased at SE 39th and Hawthorne Blvd. July 5, 1919: Plans drawn and ground broken for new Lodge building. August 5, 1919: Corner Stone laid by Grand Master Bronaugh. December 19, 1919: Building completed and dedicated by Grand Master Bronaugh. The following bodies joined and met at Sunnyside Temple- June 23, 1917- Order of Eastern

October 13, 1923: Raising of the number one thousand Master Mason in costume. Also the beginning of Sunnyside Craftsmen's Club. March 12, 1925: Sunnyside Temple Association was conceived. March 14, 1925: Meeting to decide on best way to transfer Sunnyside Temple Properties to Sunnyside Temple Association. May 27, 1925: Sunnyside Temple properties deeded to Sunnyside Temple Association. Sunnyside Lodge sponsored Roosevelt Lodge, and South Gate and West Gate Lodge offices were filled by members of Sunnyside Lodge. September 12, 1974: After 50 years, West Gate Lodge came back home and joined Sunnyside Lodge. September 23, 1996: Sunnyside Lodge building was sold and Sunnyside Lodge along with the other Sunnyside bodies moved to Washington Masonic Center, 3612 S.E. 52nd Avenue.
