Brothers, would first like to extend a great Thank You to all of you who attended our first stated meeting, and for helping me start the New Year right.  During the meeting we were able to give a great appreciation to brother Carl Gudmundson, for his 90th birthday.  Happy Birthday Carl!

As most of you already know we have a new program.  After our last meeting we had a drawing for prizes.  Congratulations to the winner, brother Allen Johnson for winning a knife with the Masonic emblem on it.

On January 28, 2010, at 7:00pm, we conferred the EA degree on Brothers Robert Maisonet and Claudiu Stanila.  Thanks for joining us for the brotherhood, friendship, and fun.

Also on February 13, 2010, at 10:00am we will be having our Stated Meeting.  Afterward we will be having brunch, so please join us for all the fun.

Brothers, I am Lloyd Higgens, your newly elected Senior Warden.  I am very honored and proud to be serving Sunnyside Masonic Lodge in this capacity.  I wish to thank each one of you for allowing me this privilege.  I intend to do the best job that I can for the lodge and my brothers.

My first Masonic Lodge was Milwaukie Lodge #109, and I was raised to the degree of Master Mason on 11-21-1998.

From the first time my wife and I entered Sunnyside Masonic Lodge, it felt like home.  The friendliness and brotherly love was very apparent.

I have met many Masonic brothers from this lodge and other lodges and am looking forward to meeting more and perhaps working with them.  I worked for the Portland Police Bureau for twenty years as a patrolman, and 21 years as a detective working on major crimes, including homicides, sexual assaults, and vice.
