Wooden Bows for Ceilings
Before the ceiling panels in westys were installed, wooden bows were fitted to the roof. These bows brace and support the wood panels so the ceiling panels lay tidily. They also support the hatch. If you want a westy style ceiling in your bus, it should have these installed, or the ceiling panel will poink up in the middle like a potato chip.
After decades, old ones may be in need of replacement. See how the middle bow is missing the end at the left in the left picture below.

SO-42 bows
The SO-42 campers have one bow in the middle section, as visible in the picture to the left, and another in the rear, not visible as the old back roof panel is still installed. Note the shoe-horn pieces along the sides, these are falling apart! They were replaced before the new roof panels were installed.

NEW BOWS FOR A HATCH-TOP WESTY:
Each 'bow' is three pieces: 2 halves and a center wedge. Flip-top westys had 3 cross bows and two braces along the flip hatch opening. These we made of white oak.
Price is $175 for a set for a hatch-top camper.
The earlier (58 & before) hatches were bigger and perhaps each hand made, so need length measurements for those to make the straight braces that go along the hatch.

HARD TOP 65-67:
These take two bows across the roof, one in the middle of each large panel.
Price is $75.
BOWS FOR OTHER ROOFS:
We can make these for the other styles as well. However, haven't had a chance to examine the bows for earlier hardtops or the SO-42 pop-tops styles. We can make them, but would need to have some pictures and measurements of the length of the side pop top braces to do so.
