The following banjo parts are available for sale at the prices listed. Shipping charges will be nominal and based upon the weight of the parts ordered.
All heads are new old stock REMO WEATHERKING outside frosted except where indicated. Most heads are in original boxes. Only one head is available in any one size unless otherwise indicated. Please measure old head diameter and crown for best fit OR take the average of several measurements across the top of the rim at different angles rounded off to the nearest 1/16 inch. Crown height is: L (Low) 3/8", M (Medium) 7/16", H (High) 1/2". Most archtop banjos use a low crown head except 1920s Paramounts which use a high crown head. Gibson style flathead banjos can use either a medium or a high crown head. Best to measure from the top surface of the metal rim on the head to the top surface of the head for best fit. Banjo heads are not returnable so please measure carefully and ask any questions prior to placing your order.
The part numbers will give you the size, crown, and finish of the head. The first two numbers indicate the diameter in whole inches, the next two numbers indicate the fraction of an inch in sixteenths, the letter indicates the crown, and the last number indicates the finish (1=outside frosted, 2=inside frosted). Therefore, head number B1103H-1 would be (B) Banjo, (1103) 11 3/16" in diameter, (H) High crown, (1) Outside frosted.
