Here are some photos of my Vega Professional Tenor Banjo which which I recently purchased through an eBay Auction. I plan to convert this instrument to a 5-string using a Wyatt Fawley neck . I believe that it is imperitive to retain the original character and identity of these vintage instruments when converting them to another form. I will in no way modify the instrument so that it cannot be easily converted back to its original form. Should I ever sell this instrument, all original parts including the original case will certainly be included and accompany the banjo to its new owner.

Finally, on August 28, 2000 I received my Fawley neck. What a beautiful creation, simply flawless. Wyatt takes a long time to complete his work but the results are well worth the wait. My neck is reminiscent of the old Fairbanks Electric inlay pattern. The inlay work is perfect as is the engraving. The instrument plays like a dream with a good solid bluegrassy tone very close to a Gibson Mastertone. This banjo uses a 1/2" bridge with no suffering in volume, though. Here are some photos of the neck and inlay work.
