Safety information- who to call

Who do I call to report a safety issue?

If you have a safety problem (that is not an emergency), you should call:

Dekalb County Center Precinct

 (770)724-7600

and ask for the Interactive Community Police Officer (ICP) to call. They should give you a phone number where and officer can be reached. It is a good idea to get the number of your ICP before an incident occurs to report. You can always call Sergeant C. Dillard at 770-392-5976 but it is best to contact your ICP first.

What do I do if I feel the traffic is moving over the speed limit? You can request a speed monitoring device to be placed on a given road for 4 days. This will track the speed of all the vehicles on it and a report will be generated. The contact for this service is as follows: Sergeant David Byers DeKalb County Police Special Operations 404-294-2085 DKByers@co.dekalb.ga.us
