Assistance/Administration
I can provide daily, weekly or monthly
preparation and/or administration of oral or injection medications,
including observation of the patient for any adverse reactions or side
effects due to the medications. I will coordinate the medication
management with the pharmacy and physicians, including ordering,
pickup and delivery of medications as needed. |
|
Private Duty in Hospital Care
While hospitalized I can provide additional
observation and care at the bedside of the patient. I will work with
hospital staff to provide an optimally safe and effective course of
care. In the absence of family or other caregivers, I can be the liaison
for the family and the health care team providing timely updates and
information.

Post Hospitalization Care at Home
Whether the patient has just had a day
surgery procedure or has spent an extended amount of time in the
hospital, I am able to provide additional private duty care in the
home. I can provide transportation from the hospital to the home and
assure a smooth transition back into the home. Using my extensive
homecare experience I can coordinate and oversee the necessary health
care services such as Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech
Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, etc. |
|
Postpartum/Newborn Care at Home
I have over 19 years of newborn/pediatric
experience to offer, including well baby care as well as care of the
critically ill infant or child. I can help transition the new infant
into the family, assisting the parents by reducing the stress and
anxiety of a new baby at home. I can stay and care for your sick child
in the home when you are unable to stay home from your work or other
commitments. Besides care for the infant
or child, I can also provide additional assistance for the family
including help with breast feeding problems, postpartum issues and
other care needs following delivery. |
|
Personal Assistance
Bathing and dressing are difficult tasks for
many and can compromise the safety of the patient. I am able to
maximize safety and efficient use of the patient's health resources
for their personal care needs. This can include showering, bathing,
hair care, dressing, as well as skin care management and overall
assessment. |
|
Respite Care
For those who are the caregiver of a loved
one, I can provide relief for the caregiver so that they can take the
time needed for themselves to maintain their maximum level of
functioning. When you need to run some errands, take in a movie, spend
some quiet time away, I can facilitate that by caring for you loved
one while you are away. |
|
Lab Work Drawn
Often times it is difficult to get the
patient to the doctor's office or lab for the ordered tests. With a
doctor's order, I can come to the home and draw the appropriate lab
specimens and deliver them to either a local lab or the doctor's
office. |
|
Overnight Care
If night time hours are becoming more
difficult and unsafe for your loved one, I can provide the appropriate
observational skills and overnight care required to keep the patient
safe and secure in their home. |
|
Medical Appointment Assistance
Doctor appointments can be difficult to get
to and overwhelming for the patient to prepare for and manage. I can
assist them in preparation for the appointment as well as transport
them to and from the appointment, provide appropriate information to
the doctor, interpret the doctor's assessment and recommendations,
assist with obtaining any prescribed medications and make appropriate
follow-up plans. I can also notify any additional caregivers and/or
family members of the outcome of the visit. |
|
Air Travel Assistance
When a loved one is unable to travel alone
but still wishes to be mobile, I can accompany them to their
destination. I can provide any needed nursing care during travel
including medication and/or oxygen management, ambulation assistance
as well as general observation during the flight. |
