Amish name. The Lantz's moved from near the Monocacy River in Maryland where
there son John Lantz was born on 5 June 1749. John later married Barbara Waggoner
who was baptised aat Danzenheim, Germany. John served in the Bedford County
Militia and then moved to Green county, Pa and had land on Dunkard Creek. He
is buried in the Lantz Cemetery there. He lad about 1000 acres of land in Green
County. Source is Bedford County Archives.
- Jacob is recorded as the second son of Israel in the administration
records for the estate of Israel (Orphans Court Abstracts, Somerset Co.,
Docket 2 page 139, August Court 1814). The source says there were 7 children
and lists them all including the spouses of the sisters.
