We've been having a great holiday this season. Catching up with friends and family, getting some much needed rest, and generally feeling incredibly blessed on so many levels.
We kicked off the holiday with a hike up at the reservoir. The weather has been so fantastic, we couldn't pass up the opportunity. On the 23rd, we headed over to the Byrd's for an excellent home cooked meal, great wine, amazing cheese and great company. On the 24th, it was over to Gma M's house for a "70's sleepover" holiday extravaganza, requiring 70's outfits, pulling out old photos, toys, music and other memorabilia from life in the 70's and even cooking up some old recipes including broccoli and cheese casserole.. yum.

As usual, everyone ended up getting pretty much what they should have. The exception this year is mom didn't steal anything settling for the "Hangover Helper Kit" complete with a personal breathalyser, icepack and other necessities. We knew she loves the occasional chocolate martini, but didn't imagine she had graduated to needing the "hangover helper kit".
All seemed quite content with their gifts, especially Pope who spent most of the day reading one of the included books in his gift, entitled "What Your Poo is Telling You?".
We're going to hibernate for the next few days, then its off to San Diego for some fun in the sun.
Cindy got a new Nikon DLSR from Sean so expect more great shots soon!
