3d Scans, part II
Saturday, July 28, 2007,10:18 PM
We headed back to the hospital today for second round of 3d scans. This time the baby was much more cooperative! Over the past week, Cindy had been feeling the baby move like crazy and as it turned out, the baby had turned 180 degrees, head facing down, feet up and turned around to face Cindy's belly. This was exactly the opposite position from last week.

Hands, legs and umbilical cord still got in the way from time to time, but we were able to get some good shots!! We also uploaded two videos from the session. The technology is pretty amazing.

First 3d Scans!
Saturday, July 21, 2007,9:30 PM
Today we went to the hospital to get a round of 3d scans. After an hour of attempts, we only got a couple of shots as the little one was in one of the most difficult position. The baby was facing down (toward Cindy's back) and the baby's face was obstructed by the placenta, the umbilical cord, the hands and feet!

Here's two pics (click for larger versions):

Due to the challenging scan, we opted to head back next weekend for another attempt.

Stay tuned!

Special Delivery!
Sunday, July 8, 2007,10:02 AM
Today we opened a package from Grandma Rita and were totally blown away. Inside the package wrapped in bubble wrap and tissue were Sean's father's first shoes. Grandma Rita had saved them for the last 58 years so she could pass them along to the next generation.

"I was worried that when they clear out my place after I'm gone", wrote Grandma, "no one would know what these were!"

Thanks Grandma! We'll take very good care of these!!

Back from Baja!
Saturday, July 7, 2007,7:56 PM
Cindy and I just got back from our trip to Baja California, Mexico.

We spent a relaxing week in Cabo San Lucas enjoying one more getaway before the little one arrives in three short months.

We stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Holistic Retreat just outside of Cabo. It was amazing.. Secluded and uncrowded. Pristine beaches and lots of great food and drink. Highlights from the trip include renting day-beds on the beach, sampling the local tacos (mostly camarons - shrimp!), getting massage on the beach, swimming and soaking in the sun.
