Troels and Suzanne celebrated the arrival of Miriam this past weekend!

Miriam Cecelia Folmann is now home with her mother and father and doing just fine. Miriam was born on the 21st of September 2007, 18.23 at Lucille Packard Children Hospital at Stanford. Her birth weight was 3390 kilograms (7 lbs, 8 oz) and she was 49 centimeters (19 1/2 inches). The birth was an intensive 48 hour masterpiece by Susanne and Miriam.

Quick update from Casa Ardilla. Cindy's in the final stages of her pregnancy.. Less than 2 weeks to go! She's definitely ready to get this little one out. The baby is quite a rambunctious bugger. Every few hours, the baby starts moving, kicking and punching. Cindy always gets the same message from the baby when this happens -- "I'm hungry, dammit!"

Last night we went down to Walnut Creek to get dinner at Skipolini's Pizza. Ally told us they had a "Preggo Pizza" which had the power to induce labor. We had to check it out.

It's basically got every possible topping on this beast, including extra garlic, pepper, onions and other gas inducing ingredients.

As of 8am this morning, the effects (while certainly powerful) have not yielded a baby. :)

Nancy, Matt and Ethan Hawes dropped in from Boston for a surprise visit to see Cindy before the little monster breaks loose. We had a great time chillin' at the house, watching the last inning of the Red Sox no-hitter, roadtripping to Monterey (to the Monterey Bay Aquarium) and Carmel (to catch a sunset), and just plain goofing around.. Ethan is getting big!! Last time we saw them (see Jan archives), he couldn't even stand up. This time he passed the time by running around all over the house screaming "and this!" & "and that!". He's a heartbreaker!

We had an awesome time on Sunday celebrating the upcoming arrival of our new addition. Friends and family from near and far were on hand to share in the cheer.
