We had a great time at Grandma's.. Last couple of days - we headed back to the beach at Captiva. Grandma came along for a great day in the sun. We also had dinner at Dolce Vita (awesome Italian food on Sanibel Island). On Friday, we cleaned out her fridge finishing off all the tasty morsels she had cooked up for us (eggplant & chicken parmesian, egg bubettas, brownies, cold cuts and lots of other yummy treats!).

We had a great day today! Grandma had doctor's appointments scheduled, so the girls and I headed off to spend the day in Captiva. The beach was awesome -- great weather and the island was pretty empty. In the evening, we ate dinner at the Crystal Room at Shell Point where they were having a special dinner -- "Polynesian Night"! After dinner we headed back to Grandma's house to watch her favorite TV show -- Dancing with the Stars.

Sean, Cindy and Lila converged on Ft. Myers, Florida to introduce Lila to her Great Grandma Rita. Sean's been in Montreal and Copenhagen for the past two weeks on business, so Cindy and Lila had their own adventure traveling cross country together. Lila did great on the plane, making new friends and generally having a good time. She's a natural traveller!

Everyone arrived on Saturday night and Sunday morning we drove over to GGma's new place at Shell Pointe.

We celebrated Mother's Day this past Saturday to beat the crowd. We met up with Gma Maria and the Phillips clan for lunch at Pascals. We enjoyed the sunny afternoon in town and stopped by at Gma Maria's for afternoon ice tea. Then we came home and we Skyped with Sean.

Lizzie turned 6 on May 7th. We gathered for dinner and laughs. We added "Where the Sidewalk ends" by Shel Silverstein to her book collection. She couldn't wait to start reading all the funny poems. Meanwhile, Miss Lila Mei started to waive with her fingers and shrugs her shoulder when you tell her she's cute!

May has arrived and so have the beautiful blooms. Spent the weekend out and about. Hit Emil Villa's for lunch on Saturday and over Gma's on Sunday afternoon for more fun.
