We decided to get out of dodge for the day and took a roadtrip up to Tomales Bay!

We stopped for lunch in Petaluma and then drove out to Hog Island Oyster Company and gorged on BBQ oysters! They were so good, we decided to bring back 100 oysters and to a BBQ back at the house on Sunday.



Somewhere along the way, we stopped at a Home Depot and bought a couple of security mini-scopes (the kind you put in your door to see who's knocking) to see if we could get some cool fish-eye shots. Not bad for $8!

Our little monkey is starting to crawl.. well sort of. It looks more like a military crawl behind enemy lines, but its a start!

We were totally surprised today from a call from Brian to let us know that Gilles, his wife Sylvie, daughter Camille and father Raymond were in town from Paris. Gilles was a french exchange student who stayed with our family in 1988. We have kept in contact ever since. The last time we saw them was when Sean and Cindy visited Gilles and his family in Paris 4 years ago.

Headed out for an adventure today at the Oakland Zoo with Dave, Amy, Lizzie and Rachel! Monkeys and Giraffes were Lila's favorites. Rachel liked the bugs and goats!

 

It's been pretty darn hot this summer. So hot that Cindy even caught the local squirrels taking a time-out! Click on the pic to see!

We had a great Fourth of July down in Coronado. Mom and Joe met us down there for some fun in the sun. Lots of "firsts" this weekend. Lila caught her first parade, her first try on a swing, and first fireworks show!
