Hi, I'm James Swayze -- writer, artist, inventor, former and future pilot, and committed futurist, living in Washington State.

A few years ago my life took an interesting turn when I became first a quadriplegic and sometime later diabetic, and found myself confined to a hospital bed and a wheelchair. But thanks to science and a few good friends -- and thanks to the James Swayze Fund -- I have reasons to believe that it could all just be a temporary setback. Al;though it has been tough surviving as of now in 2005 over 26 years of this life I feel it will be worth it. Ihave great hpe for the future and for humanity in very soon to come years ahead. Many wonders are around us today that 100 years ago were not only absent but unheard of and never yet even dreampt of. Today we've become acccustromed to dreaming very big indeed! We've seen what we can do with science and technology and I just know there's even greater wonders to come that even we have not yet dreampt of. However, there are things we can dream of doing and see the signs all around us that they are coming true. Take for instance Cryonics. We now have good reason to believe that in just about one year there will be fully reversible Cryonic glass transition vitrification preservation of human kidneys. Won't that be wonderful for storing donor kidneys for those in need? Cartilage is already capable of such beneficial extreme cold storage. In this wonderful way we involved in Cryonics take our science well beyond the interest in preserving just our own lives but expand it to helping many others that have not yet even considered the possibility of putting severe trauma or disease and even death on hold for a time when our dreams catch up to the future reality.

I believe in science -- and in art, in family and friends, in adventure and liberty, and in the future. And that's what my web page is about. It's got some of my writings and my art works, and pictures of me and my family and friends. It tells you a little bit about my involvment in Life Extension, and a lot about my hopes for what the future will bring, and what some of the top scientists and visionaries think is just around the corner for all of us. It's a future that I expect to see one day, thanks to cryonics. I am also working with one of todays premier visionairies Aubrey de Grey a scientist that believes we could soon cure the aging process that wastes over 100,000 lives a year. We believe we could one day live lives measured in centuries. Visit the Mprize website for the Methuselah Foundation and see what we're doing toward that goal. See if you'd like to donate some money to the cause. We give prizes for scientific breakthroughs in the science of anti aging medicine.

So click on some of the links above and find out more about me, and what the world of the twenty-first century may hold for us all.

And stop by again sometimes, or write. I'd be happy to hear from you.
