UPDATES AND REMINDERS FOR THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 8

LANGUAGE ARTS:  We will continue the unit, A Changing America, with “A Covered Wagon Girl:  The Diary of Sallie Hester, 1849-1850”.

REMINDERS:

February 11:  Early Release at 12:15 for conferences (Please call the office if you would like to schedule a conference.)

February 11:  Classroom valentine party (Containers for valentines should be in the classroom by Monday so that valentines can be distributed on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday mornings before our party.  Students have been requested to bring a valentine for each student in the class or for none at all.)

February 12-16:  Student Holiday (Winter Break)

March 12:  End of Third Nine Weeks

March 19:  Report Cards

April 5-9:  Spring Break

April 15-21:  CRCT

Fourth Grade Supply List

  • 1 ½  inch, three ringed binder (no large zipper binders or trapper keepers)
  • 1 package of 5-subject dividers for binder
  • 1 package of wide-ruled loose leaf notebook paper (ongoing through the year)
  • #2 lead pencils (ongoing throughout the year)
  • 1 package of colored pencils
  • 1 pack of crayons
  • scissors
  • 2 glue sticks
  • 1 single subject spiral notebook (wide ruled paper)
  • 2 folders with pockets and brads
  • zippered pencil pouch that can be attached to ringed binder
