There is no question in my mind that the AFM is in extremely desperate times. The needless continuing antagonistic attitude towards Recording Musicians Association (RMA) and certain locals has created unnecessary divisions that may lead to the eventual total breakdown of our union. The business of the AFM must be brought out of the backroom and back into the light. Bylaws must be adhered to by our officers and policies adopted by the IEB must also be obeyed by the top leadership. Anything else makes a sham out of our Federation. The International Executive Board must be more courageous in standing up to policies or actions of any president and/or secretary-treasurer and the VP from Canada that are in serious need of correction.

I have created this basic web site to document many of the significant events and tools that were created for locals during my term of office. The chronology is by no means a complete record of the many activities that occurred on behalf of locals, local officers and members during that time.

I am aware of many misrepresentations of fact and inaccurate information that come from blogs afm observer & AFM in Trouble and other sources. I do not endorse either site. Despite the freedom anonymous posters have to disclose abuses or incompetence without accountability, none of the problems at the AFM will be solved unless there is a serous desire to reform.

There has been a re-invention of history going on at the AFM since August 2001, and many significant events, goals and accomplishments have been written off or recast as the current administration ’s accomplishments. Additionally, there is a historical thread to facts that has been missing from important discussions.

The serious accomplishments I lay out here couldn't have been achieved without the work of many valuable employees who are unfortunately no longer with the AFM. I support the work of all serious people within the Federation who will seriously look at the history of this organization, respect our union and all of its members, full time working members & Players' Conferences, and make a new start by stepping up and stopping the divisive leaders currently in office.
