NETWORKING EXPERIENCE
LAN DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION: Designed
workgroup and domain model networks using Windows 2000 Server, Server
2003 and 2000 Professional workstations. Established node-to-hub and
hub-to-hub connectivity using CAT5e cabling. Implemented Active
Directory, DHCP, DNS and WINS services and established trust relationships
between domains. Performed RAID levels 0, 1, and 5 as well as spanned
volumes. Troubleshot various network components including network adapters, ports,
connections, trusts, name resolution, and TCP/IP stacks.
LAN ADMINISTRATION: Created logical naming conventions for users, groups, Sites,
OUs, and domain structure. Established file/print sharing as well as a
domain-based DFS file structure allowing high access data retrieval.
Maintained network security structure using passwords, permissions, home
folders, and GPOs. Enabled event logging and auditing policies for
security monitoring. Configured
IE Explorer, NAT, Proxy Server, and Firewall protection to establish secure
shared Internet access. Implemented RRAS, DHCP, IP scopes, RIS,
unattended installs, domain trusts, forced replication, and system state
backup procedures.
NETWORK PROJECTS
NSE STUDENT NETWORK: Worked as a team leader in the design and proposal of our school's
cutting edge network for MCSE students. The project, spanning three cities,
is comprised of four servers at each site providing domain authentication,
file and print resources, wireless technologies, student tracking, and fail
over VPN connections between campuses.
WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT: Designed and created multiple websites, including this one,
using HTML coding, JavaScript, Microsoft FrontPage, and Dreamweaver
software. Configured IIS, FTP sites and software, web folders, domain
registration, domain and e-mail forwarding, and have a good working
knowledge of the internet in general. Currently experimenting with the Server
2003 Operating System.
AUDIO/VISUAL
A/V EXPERIENCE: Have extensive knowledge in the audio/visual
field. Worked with others to supply audio and video presentation equipment to a
number of clients from Los Angeles to San Francisco. Engineered multiple open microphone
sessions while recording directly to hard disk drive. Provided large-screen
support for several major touring events at various arenas and venues.
