One warm night four children stood in front of a bakery. No one knew them. No one
where they had come from. Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny used to live alone in a boxcar. Now they have a
home with their grandfather and spend many summers having adventure after adventure. The best part? They never
grow older and never lose the desire the solve mysteries. The series now has over 100 books in it, and will
probably continue to add more until it runs out of fans or is no longer profitable.
Ms. Warner wrote the first
18 books in the series and then passed away. The rest of the books were written by other people after the
publishing company continued to receive requests for more stories, which is why all the recent books say
"created by Gertrude Chandler Warner."
While many people have read and loved this series, there
unfortunately was never an official website created.
