3. The Story of Stafford, compiler John Tackett Goolrick, Fredericksburg, VA (1939). A narrative history of Stafford Co., VA, w/map of historic sites, including "Tackett's Mill." "Old" Stafford Co., VA is where the immigrant ancestor, Lewis Tacquett, Sr. settled. 88 pp w/index. Size 5.5" x 8.5", saddle stitched, soft cover.

4. Early Tackett Family Migration (Map)© with 2nd side being a chart of assumed lines of descent from PHILLIP TACKITT, SR. (c1745-aft1830), who was living in Pike Co., KY in 1830 and who is probably the progenitor of the majority of early Tackett lines to East Kentucky. Map and Chart, 11" x 17", two color, Ivory 70# Offset paper. [Not all on this chart has been validated.]

5. 29th Annual National Tackett Reunion© (1987). A VHS VIDEO TAPE, approx. 1.5 hours in length. Held at Virgie, KY (formerly known as Tackitt, KY), covers all activities from start to finish, featuring Keynote Address by National President, Jim W. LEWIS TACQUETT: The First Family©: This booklet will be generated from our computer files on "The First Family," which consists of Family Group Sheets and documentation secured to date on LEWIS TACQUETT and his four known children: Lewis Jr., John, William & Rachel. Included will be known or assumed children of the three sons. Now included is a re drawn 1737 map of the Brent Town Tract showing the location of the original homesite for Lewis Tacquett [and 37 neighbors] plus a plat map showing locations of the original Tacquett grants in PrWmCo., VA.

9. The Family of William "Buck" & Sarah Caudill Tackitt Jr.© of Pike Co., KY. This is a special report on this large family, includes copies of pages from the old Family Bible, photos of several of the children, photos of headstones, old letters and extensive documentation. . . Also includes a photo of Abel & Mary Crace Caudill of Magoffin Co., KY; an 1867 letter written by Abel & Mary Caudill's son, Pleasant Caudill, b c1846, the year prior to his marriage to Catherine Ellen "Kate" Wiley; and a c1898 letter to Sarah Caudill Tackitt & Rachel Caudill Crace? by her sister-in-law, Mary Crace Caudill, telling of the death of her husband, Abel Caudill.       Ask for Vol. 28 No. 4 (1991) of The Tackett Journal.

10. "The Descendants of Allen Jackson Tackitt, 1826-1895, " by James Wm. Tackitt [Chico, CA : 1958]. Allen Jackson Tackitt, from Monroe Co., VA and thence to Cass & Johnson Co., MO abt. 1837, moved to Placer & Nevada Co., California during the Gold Rush to claim Bounty Land for his service in the Mexican War of 1848. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Grider, the dau. of the Captain of the overland wagon train, Tobias S. & his wife, Eleanor Usrey Grider.  This small compilation, with a few photos, was the first genealogy publication by Jim W. Tackitt.  Now considerably out-of-date, this will still be of interest to members of this family.    Size 5.5"x11," 44 pp plus index, photos, letterpress & offset printed, saddle bound.

11. Tackett/Tackitt Family Reports: Register Reports [starting with one of your early ancestors and recording DOWN all the children in each generation, or as many generations as you specify] & Ahnentafel Reports [starting with you and going BACK through each generation, but only including those in your direct line], as well as the standard Family Group Sheets for a single family unit, with children, are available on a large number of early Tackett/Tackitt family units, many with photos. These reports can be presented on 8.5x11 inch paper and 3-hole punched for your binder. They will contain extensive documentation [not the non-documented WFT type so often found on the Internet]. If desired, these can also be sent to Internet users as .rtf or .pdf files at a reduced rate. These reports can be from about 10 to well over 100 pages each and may change daily as new documented material is entered. Please ask for the family unit you are interested in and we will let you know the number of pages for that family, if available]. [These reports are the result of our 50 years' experience working on these families.] Note: A single five generation "Ancestor Chart," sent via email attachment, is FREE to any Tackett descendant.

These two-generation copyrighted Register Reports [including known children & dates for the 3rd generation], like those mentioned above contain extensive documentation [not the non-documented WFT type so often found] , are from about 25 to 85+ pages each and may change daily as new documented data is entered. Photo files:  If we have a photograph available for one of your family members these can be obtained for a fee, if we have the negative [we have well over 2,500 indexed].   We do have many that we have pre-printed to 5x7 [$5.00] & a few 4x5 or 4x6 [$3.50] size. [Please request no more than two different prints at a time. Thanks!]. Those requesting may obtain 72dpi jpg images, via email, of those in their direct line for no charge.      If you have an old Tackett related photo, we will copy and reproduce it at no charge, whether you are an enrolled member or not.
