This family journal was printed from 1964 thru 2003 (35 volumes), with copies found in many of the larger libraries in the country, including the Library of Congress. ALL issues can also be found in the Special Collections, Pikeville College Library, Pikeville, KY. All back issues are still available.

In 1964 we started printing the old American Pioneer on the kitchen table. In 1966, we started printing these on an offset press, size 5.5"x8.5" saddle stitched, card cover. In 1990, we switched to 8.5"x11", 24-32 pages per issue, saddle stitched with computer composition and offset printing. The title was then changed to The Tackett Family Journal.
