Padme Amidala

Naboo Nightgown, Attack of the Clones

This costume was for my sister, to wear to CIII and RotS.

When it appeared that we wouldn't be able to complete the Picnic dress to satisfaction in time for C3, my sister decided to switch over to Padme's Naboo Nightgown as a quick costume alternative. We split the sewing between us. The trim was actually sewn on down in the lounge during happy hour at the hotel while my sister was wearing the robe - I'll have to ask around and see if anyone got pictures of us during that.

Nightgown: Simplicity 5187, view C; material: some sort of stretchy white satin-like stuff found on clearance at Hancock.

Robe: Simplicity 4792, view D; matieral: blue stretch velvet from Fabrics R' Us; trim: black and gold Greek key trim. We didn't worry about the smocking on the robe material.

Posing with a very good, very frightening looking Anakin
Jedi Girl of Corellia and my sister, Jedi_Master_Osiris. Yes, that is a Star Trek costume at a Star Wars convention. Hey, it was a masquarade party. We also saw pirates, people on stilts, G.I. Joe characters, and stormtroopers in kilts at this party.
