I finished the first sonnet sleeve last night. Then I couldn't resist casting on my shapely tank. I was feeling left behind on the knit along already, even though it doesn't officially start til Monday ;) I got just past the first shaping rows last night.

Success! It looks beautiful. This is the second time I've tried to do the short rows. The first time I was doing k2p2 rib and had to give up. Either it finally clicked, or it's a lot easier to do in st stitch (or both)

Here's a close up of the edge. I'm amazed that the extra rows are actually hidden ;)

I should be meeting with the purly girls on their Bainbridge Field trip right now, but I came out of my exercise class with a splitting headache that is just now easing up.

My dad is back from his vacation today and I get to pick up the thrift store wool sweaters he collected for me. I can't wait to see if the yarn is usable. He also found a ball winder for me. ::bounce::

All righty then. I think I have this thing working properly now, yay! Y'all can even comment now.

I'm still slogging away on my cardigan, I'm about half done with the first sleeve. It seems so slooooow going now, after how quickly I cranked out my beloved booga bag.

Fun with felting
I took a break from my cardigan over the weekend to make a little Booga Bag out of the Noro (90) I bought on Friday. The handle is lambs pride worsted in amethyst.

And while I was at it, I also felted my monster fur and wool purse that I made a few months ago, and the pocket book slippers I made last week that turned out a little too big. The slippers only went through one cycle in the washer, just enough to shrink them down to size

I went back to working on my sweater sleeves today. It felt really strange to go from the big fat 10.5's back down to the size 6 needles.

Hopefully I'll finish the cardigan this week and be all ready to start the Shapely tank knit along next week. :) I got the yarn for the tank from elann yesterday. It's a pretty burgandy mercerized cotton.
