I finished Sonnet last night, but it's still not perfect. It was indeed a little short so I added a crochet border on the bottom, as well as on the sleeves and neckline. I love the sleeves, but the bottom is a little too flared and still not quite long enough, so I'm going to rip it out and redo it. I also need to do something about the button holes, which are slightly too big for my dainty buttons. I think I'll probably just reinforce them with grey thread.

It's not too bad for my first cardigan though, I think after I tweak it a little more I'll actually have something I want to wear ;)

Hopefully I can get it all fixed tonight in between packing for the weekend. I should get a lot done on my tank top this weekend. I'll be getting to the cabin ahead of the rest of the gang, so I'll get a good start on it right off the bat.

Much progress last night

I finished knitting sonnet last night and started on the assembly. I wove in the ends and did up the shoulder seams. Now I just have to seam up the sleeves and attach them to the body. Oh, and sew on the buttons :) I brought the whole shebang with me so I can finish it at the SNB this afternoon. I brought the shapely tank too, because I don't think it should take more than an hour to get the finishing done. (touch wood!)

I think I'm going to be very pleased with the finished cardigan. I tried on the body and it fits and drapes wonderfully. It seems long enough too, although I might still add a small crochet border later.

I'll try to post some pictures tonight if I'm not too beat by the time I get home :)

Sonnet Progress

I got a couple of hours in on the 2nd sleeve yesterday. I even kept my purse on my lap during my dentist appointment so I could get a couple of rows in when the dentist disappeared for a few minutes at a time. ;)

I'd say I'm past the 1/2 way point on it. I'm just slogging through at this point. It's gotten really boring, despite the fact that I love the yarn. I'm impatient to get it all assembled so I can get back to the shapely tank :) Hopefully I can at least finish the knitting today.

I'm a little worried that the finished sweater will be slightly too short for my taste. I think I can fix that pretty easily with a nice lacy border on the bottom though. I'll just have to decide whether to knit or crochet it.
