Okay, I'm totally embarrassed about how long it's been since I've updated this blog!!!!!!
I've been really busy at work, and spending a lot of energy on getting into shape, to the detriment of my knitting reports.
I have still been knitting though! I made a flurry of booga bags for various friends and relations for the holidays and various hats. In my haste to give them away, however, I failed to snap pictures.
I also started a monster sweater for my DH. It's my first try at a seamless yoked sweater ala "Knitting without Tears" It's about 56" wide and double knit guage, so it's taking a while. It's worked well to have all the little projects to complete in the meantime. I'm making progress though, especially lately. I finished the body to the armpit, one sleeve, and I'm about 1/3 the way done with the second sleeve. I'm hoping to start knitting the whole thing together my next weekend. I still haven't decided if I'm going to do a pattern on the chest... it definitely won't be a colorwork pattern, but I may do a texture design if I feel ambitious. Guess I'd better decide pretty quick!
The yarn I'm using is from the summer webs sale. It's 80% wool and 20% cashmere. I'm using one strand of charcoal and one strand of medium gray held together.
I'll take some pictures of the sweater pieces this week/end to prove I haven't been a total knitting deadbeat these last many months. :)
I'm itching to make the kureyon tea cozy from the Winter knitty and a silk garden cardigan for me and and and.... The pattern lust knows no end, even when I'm buried in a huge endeavor. :P
